010: Under Pressure

1/3/10

Actually got something done today. I was close to not actually doing any work seeing as it didn't even get above freezing. I got 2 small things done today. Didn't spend anything, so that's good.

Oil Pressure Sender:
-Passed the sender wire through the firewall. The hardest part of this was figuring out where the firewall pass through was.
-Replaced the OEM pressure sender. I need another cap to hold down the OEM terminal so I keep functionality of the oil pressure dummy light.
Oil pressure gauge works now. Was around 30psi at idle, 50ish(?) if you get on it.

Inspection:
Replacing a rear lamp now puts me one step closer to passing inspection. Gonna go to Autozone and Advance tomorrow to see if they have the reverse light switch in stock. After that I'll be legit... Almost too legit... Parts from AutohausAZ should be arriving tomorrow. So basically, that means that is needed to make this legal is me to replace the license plate light and reverse switch. I hope I can get this all sorted tomorrow. Doing that would equal awesome. Here, I'll show my work:

<$700 + E30 + road legal = awesome!
Who shall question my math?

Total:

$676.
I still think this has been a terrific buy and experience.
